The first Marvel superhero film with an Asian lead, Shang-Chihas been highly anticipated since development was initially announced at the end of 2018.

First reactions to Shang-Chiare rolling in now, and it appears to have earned gushing, universal praise across the board. The overwhelming consensus is that Shang-Chi is a "phenomenal" film filled with heart, humour, and "jaw dropping action" — and not just by Marvel's standards.

It sounds exactly like the fun, action-packed blockbuster we could all use right now. If you weren't already hyped for Shang-Chi, now would be a good time to start.
